Learning to fly

For the past 4 years I have had my wings clipped, trimmed at regular intervals.

I have been teaching in a secondary school and for the last 4 years I have been taken for granted, disrespected, bullied, and had hurdles to my teaching and students learning thrown in front of me at every turn. Now I have left that school, left that profession. Now I have stepped out into the realm of becoming an artist. Now I am free.

It’s liberating and exciting. I’m beginning to get back my “muchness” and am becoming Me again.

It’s also a little terrifying, am I as much as I think I am. Can I actually still be Me and be free and creative.

I’ve jumped out into the world and now I’m hoping that my wings will grow back stronger than ever and that I will be able to fly towards my dreams and my future
